The acoustic management of industrial zones has been laid down in the Noise Nuisance Act. Companies that cause a heavy sound load for the environment (former category A-establishments from the Nuisance Act) may establish on industrial zones. During construction or renovation these companies must provide adequate sound insulation to combat industrial noise. The Nuisance Act also includes a couple of articles about zone management and redevelopment for industrial zones.
Knowledge of construction techniques is required to develop an efficient sound-insulating casing against industrial noise. A casing can be permanent or modular and consists of various materials. Usually, casings are built with special, easily movable, sound-insulating panels. The Kenniscentrum Geluidsisolatie (KGI) can offer you a total concept in which we take care of both planning, material selection and implementation.
