The KGI-Groep forms a consortium with its participants to take on joint work. The KGI Groep coordinates the implementation and the coordination with all persons involved in the construction. It guarantees the participants that they work with qualified construction- and installation companies. This is essential, as the effectiveness of noise insulation requires an integrated approach.
Het Kenniscentrum Geluidsisolatie is ontstaan na diverse marktonderzoeken in samenwerking met de HES en de HVA. Als het gaat om geluidsisolatie en akoestiek, biedt geen enkele partij waar behoefte aan is: een combinatie van opleiding, bundeling van gekwalificeerde bouw- en installatiebedrijven en een kennisplatform. Dit terwijl geluidshinder in de top vijf staat van woongerelateerde ergernissen. Volgens diverse prognoses zal geluidshinder binnen een aantal jaren de grootste woongerelateerde ergernis zijn, die bovendien invloed heeft op de gezondheid van bewoners.
Vanwege een gebrek aan actie vanuit de branche hebben wij het initaitief genomen tot een verdere professionalisering op het gebied van geluidsisolatie en akoestiek

Innovations and new technical solutions in the field of noise insulation require increasing specialization and professionalism. Until now, acoustic or noise insulation have often been a side issue or balancing item instead of a main thing. In order to be able to meet all wishes and requirements, there is an urgent need for a professional, national and even international organization in the field of noise insulation in the broadest sense of the word. Who will take care of noise insulation? Until today, this has been a frequently asked “open question” without a clear answer.
